A Career Here Does Not End When Someone Leaves The Firm

Lawyers trained under our dual-jurisdiction model tend to be useful to a great many people after they leave Crownstone Advocates, and we would rather stay part of that story than treat a departure as the end of the relationship. Our alumni network exists to keep that connection genuinely useful in both directions — for former colleagues building a career elsewhere, and for a firm that still values their judgment.

Where Our Alumni Have Gone

In keeping with the same confidentiality we apply to client matters, we describe alumni destinations by category rather than naming individuals or their current employers.

In-House Counsel

Corporate legal teams at multinational and regional businesses across the EU and the Gulf.

Regulators & The Judiciary

Financial services and gaming regulators, and judicial appointments in both Malta and the UAE.

Boutique Practices

Founders and partners of smaller specialist firms across Europe and the Gulf region.

Academia & Training

Teaching posts and professional training roles connected to the jurisdictions we practice in.

what the network actually does

Referrals, Mentorship, And An Open Door

Alumni remain a genuine referral channel in both directions — a former colleague now sitting in-house at a multinational is often the first call when their employer needs Malta or UAE counsel, and we return that trust by referring work back their way when it fits their own new practice. Several of our current partners mentor lawyers who trained here years ago and have since moved into very different corners of the profession, on the basis that a good working relationship does not need a current engagement letter to stay worth maintaining.

We also keep alumni informed of the same regulatory developments in Malta and the UAE that we track for active clients, on the view that someone who trained under our dual-jurisdiction model is still, in a real sense, part of how that expertise moves through the profession.
